AVAILABLE NOW ... My Journey - Confessions of a Christian Fundamentalist'Christian dogma is not from Jesus of Nazareth' This first book of John is the result of the perceived
dangers posed by the various groups of religious fundamentalists around the
world. It explores his early experience as a staunch Christian fundamentalist
and his family background. What type of environment breeds religious
fundamentalists? Why are religious fundamentalists so difficult to reason with?
Why is it so difficult to change our outlook and mindset once it is set? Why are
they so dangerous to us all? How can we overcome this environment of mistrust,
intolerance, misunderstanding and hate among the different communities? Can we
ever reach a compromise? Do we face the issue directly and use force to wipe
them off the face of the Earth? Then we are no different from the members of the
medieval Inquisition. What can we expect in the near future if we do not address
this critical issue facing the world?
Hopefully, this brief account of John’s life and the
subsequent changes in his life will give us an exposure to the background of
religious fundamentalism. If we can understand the reasons behind religious
fundamentalism, then a solution may be possible. If we can understand how the
religious fanatics think and the rationale behind their violent actions, we may
be able to plan a counter against them. The religious fanatics in South East
Asia, the Indian sub-continent and in the Middle East pose the greatest danger
to the world today. Let us hope that it is not too late for us. This book is an autobiographical account of John’s life and the effect of his migration from Malaysia to Australia back in 1981. It was the country Australia that provided an environment which allowed John to explore all the available information and knowledge. I am sure that if John stayed on in Malaysia, his life would have been very different. In a sense, Australia provides an environment where there is hope that change (tolerance and understanding) may take place, irrespective of the background and mindset of the migrant. In his search for answers, John accidentally stumbled upon the greatest hoax in history of the West. There are some hilarious moments that enliven the readability of this controversial book. John hopes that the readers will enjoy sharing his life experiences. John’s other books document his other life experiences. The other books focus on the cultural differences between East and West, the Australian migrant scene at the end of the last millennium and his discoveries on science, genetic and palaeontology subjects and their applications and implications to all of us. Another book goes deeper into his search for spirituality in this uncertain world. (72,000 words) For More Information Contact: |
